Master the Art of Objection Handling: Proven Scripts for TCs to Win Over Agents

Overcoming Common Objections to Hiring a Transaction Coordinator (TC)

As a Transaction Coordinator, I’ve had countless conversations with agents who are on the fence about working with someone like me. And honestly? I get it. Handing over a piece of your business to someone else is a big decision, and there are plenty of reasons why you might hesitate. But I’ve also seen how transformative it can be when agents take the leap — whether it’s freeing up their time, reducing stress, or scaling their business faster than they thought possible.

Let’s dive into three of the most common objections I hear and how I approach them.

Objection 1: “I already have a TC I love and trust.”

First off, I love hearing this. Having someone you trust in this role is everything. I’m never here to step on anyone’s toes or talk someone out of a good thing. If you’ve got a great TC, that’s a win for your business.

That said, life happens. Even the best TCs take vacations, hit capacity, or face unexpected curveballs. That’s where I come in. I’ve worked with agents who felt the same way but eventually found themselves needing a backup — someone who could step in seamlessly when their go-to TC wasn’t available.

Think of me as your safety net. No pressure, no hard sell. But if you ever find yourself in a pinch or just want to compare processes, I’d love to be that trusted backup you can count on.

Objection 2: “I’d rather hire someone in-house.”

Totally makes sense. Having someone in the office can feel like the easiest way to communicate, especially if you’re used to that setup. But let’s talk about the flip side.

With an in-house hire, you’re carrying the cost no matter how many deals are happening. You’re also responsible for training, managing, and replacing them if they leave. That’s a lot of overhead — both financially and mentally.

What a lot of my agents love about working with me is the flexibility. You only pay when you’re producing, and you don’t have to worry about the hiring, training, or admin headaches. Plus, I’ve got systems dialed in to make communication feel just as seamless as if I were sitting in the next room.

At the end of the day, it’s all about what works best for your style. If you ever want to explore a hybrid approach or just compare experiences, I’m an open book.

Objection 3: “I don’t think I do enough deals to need a TC” or “It’s just not worth the cost.”

I hear this one a lot, especially from newer agents or those in slower markets. When you’re doing fewer deals, every dollar matters, and it can feel hard to justify paying someone else. But here’s what I’ve noticed: the agents who started working with me early on — even before they were super busy — grew faster.

Why? Because they weren’t spending hours buried in paperwork. Instead, they had more time to prospect, follow up, and actually build their business. It’s not just about the deals you’re doing now; it’s about how much time and energy you want to get back so you can grow.

If you’re curious, we could always start small. Run one transaction with support and see how it feels. You might be surprised at how much lighter your workload becomes — and how much more you can accomplish.

Whether you’re loyal to your current TC, considering an in-house hire, or unsure if you even need a TC, the decision ultimately comes down to what works best for you and your business. My goal isn’t to pressure you into anything — it’s to be a resource, a backup, or a partner when you need one.

If you’re ever curious to compare processes, explore a hybrid approach, or just chat about how a TC could fit into your business, I’m here. No strings attached, no hard sell — just a conversation about what’s possible.

Let’s connect when the time feels right. You’ve got big goals, and I’d love to help you reach them.
